Oruto is a minor character in Ristar and happens to be the Star Goddess. At the beginning of the Japanese Mega Drive version and the Game Gear versions of the game, she is the one who summons Ristar to save the planets in the Valdi System.

Trivia

• For reasons that aren't stated, she does not appear in the Western Sega Genesis version of Ristar. In her place, there was a Legendary Hero who was the protector of the Valdi System and got captured, which prompted Ristar to take his place.
  • Incidentally, this "Legendary Hero" is his father as confirmed by the text confirming Ristar is the hero's son. If Oruto is his mother, it would mean we see both his parents across different geographies.
  • However, she does appear in the Game Gear version of the game.
• Although her sprite appears green, her true colors have never been shown.
